What should I about these two weird toe nails of mine?
Something is wrong with two of my toe nails. They are brittle, not shiny like the healthy ones and thicker than them. What would a dermatologist do, pull them off? Would I be able to walk until I grow new nails?
Either you’ve damaged the nails (eg by wearing ill fitting shoes or lots of repetitive pounding like you get when you do lots of running), or you’ve got a fungal nail infection. Fungal infections can be treated easily with over-the-counter remedies. I don’t think a dermatologist would pull your toe nails off unless they were very seriously ingrown or infected. Having a toenail missing hurts a little, but you wouldn’t have problems walking.
